AMBER FORD

Student Leadership
Back

Hello, my name is Amber Ford, and I am one of the Deputy Head Students here at St Michaels. I am currently studying History, Spanish and Geography, and once I finish sixth form, I hope to study a joint honours degree of History and Spanish at university. As Year 11 came to an end, and I was deciding upon my next steps, I couldn't imagine being anywhere else other than St Michaels Sixth Form. Not only was this a natural progression for me, but the support system in place here assured me that I would be in the best possible hands during my A-Level studies. As Deputy Head Student and Head of Environmental Sustainability, I have set up an eco-group, where we aim to make St Michaels an eco-friendlier school, through initiatives such as promoting meatless options in the canteen. Alongside the rest of the SLT's pastoral team, I also help to deliver assemblies and support the younger students through mentoring schemes, to ensure they have an incredible school experience.
